My Background
I was born in New York City and grew up in the foothills of South Carolina. I attended the South Carolina Governor's School for Arts and Humanities, where I spent two years apprenticing in visual design and fine art.
I realized that I wanted to pursue a vocation that engaged more directly with changing the world, so in university I pursued design and business. I earned both degrees in five years and discovered my passion for combining the beautiful and complex with psychology, data, and research.
After graduation, I worked in consulting for 3 years before moving in-house to a financial services technology company.
I am highly engaged in the local design community through volunteering, Meetups, and conferences. When I'm not designing, I like to sing, paint, and go wandering in the woods.
